And the fun continues

Without going into too much gross detail, let's just say that Michael got sick at the fair yesterday after his volleyball game and then later that night before bed. He is feeling better today, but taking the food very slow, using the BRAT (bananas, rice, applesauce and toast) diet. Kathryn thought she was getting sick last night and slept with her pan next to her pillow, but she never did get sick, so she's good. Charlotte seems to have escaped this vicious bug so far.

But poor little Emily is really hurting. About 1:00 in the morning she woke me up to tell me her tummy hurt, so I went to get her a pan and told her to not throw up on herself or her bed, just lean over the pot and I would come help her. About 2:00 in the morning, she let go and PRAISE GOD, nothing was messy. We took care of her, and put her back to bed. This went on for about 3 more times and I only had to change the sheet one time for a minor problem. I was very proud of her and also PRAISING GOD the entire night.

Morning rolled around and we are almost out of toilet paper and other important 'sick' items, so Kyle Poland sprung into action with a trip to Kroger to get us everything we needed. She also provided a cookie for Mom and some flowers to perk up the place. What a God-send she is to us.

Michael is recovering and should go to school tomorrow. If Kathryn doesn't come down with it over night, so should she. Emily is still very sick and can't even keep a sip of water down right now, so she is hurting. Charlotte seems to be doing ok, but with Mom being sick, the milk supply is of concern so we're working on that by drinking lots of water.

We talked to Daddy very early this morning (he's in Alaska) and he said he made it through the trip without getting sick, and is a little sick right now in the hotel, but not on the plane. That's something I prayed for all night. An 8 hour plane trip with what we have had would be miserable for him and all those around him. Another blessing.

Hopefully things will improve soon for Emily and we'll all be on the mend.

If you read this BLOG today (Sunday) please keep us in your prayers for patience with each other, peaceful sleep and speedy recovery.
